Green Party Experience: Joined Green party in 2001, an active member since 2003. Stood as the Napier electorate candidate and spokesperson in the 2008 election, and loved it! Active member of the information groups such as IG water, IGRMA and IG local government.
Policy Interests/Expertise: Key policy advisor for all policies, rules and regulations for the Wellington Regional Council Freshwater Plan and Hawke's Bay Regional Council Regional Coastal Environment Plan.
Provided expert witness to a number of environment court and regional council hearings for a number of prosecutions with respect to illegal discharges to water or over fertilisation of dairy shed effluent to land.
My broad political issues: I am proud to be a green party representative, I believe in the great transparency of our political processes and I like to walk the talk. I am an active cyclist, gardener, musician and Dad. Our children are our greatest asset in life, they bring joy to everyone and what better party to stand for than one that has a vision for future generations. I am passionate about protecting our waterways and believe in leaving my mark where ever I live eg. Oxford St tree planting, Waipoua River Clean Up, Whirinaki Community Walkway etc
Additional information: I belive I have what it takes to be a Green Party Candidate, I am confident in portraying the vision of our policies, I am a good public speaker and I am exceptionally proud of our Mps who give their life and soul to the party and the people of New Zealand.
