My broad political issues My background is that of a Maori child of the urban migration. I have an active affiliation with my tribal roots, and am committed to Maori development - both tribal and urban.
Additional information I work well in a team environment, although I also enjoy self- motivated challenges. My written and oral skills are strong, and I am comfortable with public speaking, writing documents, and policy analysis. I have a realistic expectation of the requirements of parliamentary life. I am very interested in the Committee processes of Parliament. My experience in various team and project oriented organisations will enable me to engage purposefully in this regard - this is certainly an area in which the Green Party makes many of its gains. I am committed to green principles, and view these as the way forward in developing our nation.
