Join Eugenie and Friends of the Waitara to celebrate World Wetland Day.
Details: 4pm - 6pm: Community BBQ with free sausage sizzle (vegetarian options available)
6pm - 7.30pm: Open forum: Eugenie Sage on freshwater and the Dirty Water Tour, Trevor Dodunski and Mike Urwin, Ray Watembach (The Waitara River: Then and Now) and speakers from Fish & Game and Forest & Bird.
7.30pm - 8.30pm: Live music for a community dance
8.30pm - 10pm: Screening of Water Whisperers Tangaroa - Kathleen Gallagher's inspiring documentary about the work of New Zealand 10 communities who seek to heal damaged waterways and protect them for future generations.
