This year, the Greens will focus on mining in our precious Schedule 4 lands, as we mark the 40th anniversary of Earth Day. This will be a nationwide day of action to engage the public in this important campaign.
Join Russel, Gareth & the team in Wellington where we will be creating some street theatre involving 'holes in the ground' and miners, and a team of volunteers collecting signatures on our petition and handing out submission guides.
We need: Volunteers on the stall, some roving in the crowd collecting signatures, as well as people dressed up in mining suits and hard hats. You can choose either a 12pm-1pm or 1pm-2pm slot.
