How the government's drive for a low wage economy affects us all - and what we can do about it
Jan Logie and Denise Roche, Green Party MPs, are on a national tour to discuss the impact of the government's welfare reforms and funding cuts on community organisations and on our communities. Based on the increasing popular Pecha Kucha* format, we'll have a series of fast-paced 5-minute presentations from a range of speakers from different organisations, including those representing: Workers, Woman, Disabled People, Youth, Children, Refugee and migrant communities, Māori, Pasifika, Mental Health, Problem Gambling
Please advise if you require a NZSL interpreter for this meeting
* Pecha Kucha Night events consist of around a dozen presentations, each presenter having 20 slides, each shown for 20 seconds on a timer. Thus, each presenter has just 6 minutes and 40 seconds to explain their ideas before the next takes the stage. The format keeps presentations concise and fast-paced and is being used increasingly as a way for people to meet, show their work, exchange ideas, and network.
