Health Canada whistle-blower Dr Chopra will speak on the dilemma and pressures he faced when he refused to approve drugs of questionable safety intended for food production.   Renowned scientist and Canadian whistleblower Dr Shiv Chopra will talk on the decisions, dilemmas and moral and ethical predicaments that face government regulators, balancing drug company designs and public safety implications.

Dr Shiv Chopra worked for Health Canada for 35 years examining food and drugs before their release onto the market.  However he lost his job when he and his colleagues refused to approve drugs of questionable safety intended for food production.
Due to Dr. Chopra's work, Bovine Growth Hormone was barred in Canada in 1999 and in the EU.
He will speak on the questionable safety of hormones, antibiotics, genetically modified organisms (GMO's) and pesticides in our food chain.
