The Green Room was a live video streaming event held on Monday 28th October, at the same time as TVNZ screened the debate between John Key (National) and Phil Goff (Labour).
New Zealanders deserve to hear a range of views on the big issues our country faces. Having an old fashioned 'National versus Labour' debate mean Kiwis are denied the full range of political opinions. In the last election, over 21% of New Zealanders voted for a party other than National or Labour. On current polling 1 in 10 Kiwis say they would vote Green.
The Green Room is for all those who are looking for genuinely alternative perspectives. Although we have MMP - a proportionate system, there is 'disproportionate' coverage for parties on TV. We are finding ways to redress this imbalance so that Kiwis can get better access to alternative solutions.

Who are the experts?
The panel will be joined by a series of experts including business commentator Bernard Hickey, economist Raf Manji, Principal's Federation President Peter Simpson, environmentalist Steve Abel and child policy specialist Anton Blank.
