15th December 2009

Dear Minister,

We, the New Zealand Youth Delegation, are writing to you to request a meeting with Prime Minister John Key during his visit to Copenhagen for COP15.

We are proposing a meeting of no more than 15 minutes, understanding that this is an extremely busy time for Prime Minister Key, and appreciate the time we have already been afforded by the New Zealand Government delegation.

We request that this meeting be outside the Bella centre, as it seems apparent we will soon no longer have access to the conference centre - perhaps at the delegation hotel if that were convenient.

We are hoping to be able to meet Prime Minister Key and share with him the voice and views we carry as the New Zealand Youth Delegation. Equally, we would benefit greatly from listening directly in person to the Prime Minister about his vision of how New Zealand can play its fair share in making a contribution to the concerted global effort in combating climate change, including his initiative for a global alliance on agricultural research.

The full delegation has a compliment of 12 people, aged form 17 - 26. Ideally the whole delegation would be present, but if this were not feasible please specify the number of delegates that the Prime Minister would be able to meet with.

Thank you kindly for consideration, we look forward to your response.
