Green Priorities 2011
This year, the Greens are campaigning for a clean green economy that will work for everyone. we must kick start a green economy, address inequality and make sure that we start cleaning up our act – our rivers are in a shameful state.
Put our children first
We launched the first of our priorities to bring 100,000 kids out of poverty last week by Metiria Turei at an early childhood centre in Ranui. Our priority launch was supported by the lovely Nicole Whippy of Outrageous fortune fame.

The single biggest issue of our time
What are the Greens doing about climate change? We are in solutions mode.
The current economic culture is creating our climate crisis. The economy is unhealthy and unsustainable. It makes a few winners and many losers.
The Greens are urging New Zealanders to transition to a new economy that is clean and green and works for everyone. We are championing a transition to a low-carbon economy and encouraging Green Jobs - getting our people working in jobs that are good for the environment, the community and the economy. We have always called for public transport solutions that are efficient and affordable.
The solutions for the climate are the same solutions that will benefit our community and our economy.
