New Zealand doesn't need to resort to high risk, dated technologies like fracking which could wreck our clean green brand, when we have a wealth of smart green energy opportunities that will deliver real prosperity.
Fracking involves pumping water, sand and chemicals at high pressure deep into the earth in order to extract oil and gas, and it's very dangerous.
In many overseas countries fracking is prohibited because of environmental and health concerns - fracking fluid has been proven to contaminate drinking water and waterways.
