More than 37,000 parents, teachers, and other concerned New Zealanders have signed a petition expressing deep concern about the way the new National Standards have been introduced to our schools. The message is clear: trial National Standards, not our kids!
By forcing the National Standards through untested, John Key and Anne Tolley have negated any value they might have had. They risk labelling our kids as failures and undermining low-decile schools.
John Key and Anne Tolley would learn a lot by listening to the concerns of people who signed this petition.
