As kids head back to school, many adults are debating vexed issues like school assessment. It’s easy to forget that those most affected — young people themselves — have strong opinions too.
I asked young people around the country what a real education means to them. Their answers are presented in our report ‘What is a Real Education’. Young people are concerned about the three ‘R’s — they want to be respected, have good relationships, and get an education that is relevant to them.
Let’s ensure these young people’s voices are heard in the education debate.
