Our state owned power companies are performing well. Over the last five years they have made a return on investment of between 15-20% on average.
John Key wants to sell them in order to avoid taking on more debt. But the cost of borrowing for the Government is only around 5%.
No matter how you slice it, it is a money losing policy to permanently sell assets that are making us 15-20% in order to avoid taking on a small amount of debt at only 5%.
We are committed to keeping our assets in full Kiwi ownership. With your help we will keep fighting to keep it Kiwi.
