Dale says: “I work well in a team and I am focused on making positive changes for NZ and the world in general. However, I have no intention of becoming an MP at this stage as I have a young family to look after (which is my current priority).”




Background & Achievements

Dale Stevens is Māori, born in Rotorua in 1971. As well as sixth form Certificate and NZCS in food science, he has attained various on-job qualifications during twenty years in the dairy industry. His most recent position in that sector was production supervisor for Fonterra. Since 2005 he has worked as a Union Organiser.

Community involvements

Other work experience (including voluntary/unpaid) includes two years recently as Secretary of the Young Workers’ Resource Centre.

Additional

Dale joined the Green Party in 2004 taking the position of Waikato Executive Networker during 2006 and 2007, and Waikato Male Co-convener from 2007 to the current time.

His policy interests and expertise are in the areas of workers’ rights and environmental issues.
