Background

Dora is of English, Scottish and Maori (Ngai Tahu, Ngati Mamoe, Waitaha) descent. She is currently working as Student Support Advisor at Te Wananga o Aotearoa. A teacher by training, she has also worked as a marketing executive, strategy consultant and business analyst.

Interests/Hobbies

Dora is interested in issues around: Treaty of Waitangi, Seabed and Foreshore, Iwi settlement process, sustainable housing and transport, buy local, water management, education, mental health, public health, humane standard of living, foreign affairs.

Dora has lived and worked both nationally and overseas and says she believes "we can do more in New Zealand to create a society that is sustainable both culturally and environmentally so that we can truly be the envy of the rest of the world."
