Greens welcome up-front support from leading business

The Green Party is delighted to have the support of New Zealand juice and soft drink company Phoenix Organics, as the election campaign swings into its final week.

Phoenix Organics has sent all its customers a flyer setting out "3 good reasons why Phoenix Organics will be voting Green this election".

"We're rapt to have the up-front endorsement of Chris Morrison and the team at Phoenix Organics," Green Co-Leader Rod Donald says.

"This is the third election in a row that Phoenix Organics has encouraged their customers to give their Party Vote to the Greens.

"During that time, our public support has grown considerably from two to nine seats, and hopefully more next Saturday, but Phoenix Organics has expanded rapidly into a mainstream beverage company competing with the big multinationals. It is all the more fantastic that it has made its mark with an organic product range.

"Not only is Chris Morrison an outstanding entrepreneur, he recognises that the health of his business depends on the health of the planet.

"What's more, unlike some less-than-honest businesspeople who have been grabbing the headlines recently, Chris is more than willing to be up-front about his political preferences."

Chris Morrison is the Managing Director of Phoenix Organics and chairperson of the Sustainable Business Network of New Zealand.

The three reasons Phoenix Organics says it is supporting the Greens are:
