Climate Defence Tour
17 Apr 2007
Subjects: Climate Change, Energy
Spokesperson:
Green Party Co-Leader
The Green Party Co-leaders are touring the country between April and June urging people to push the Government on climate change, and to make some personal commitments.
The Greens want a Climate Defence Fund established comparable to what we spend on Defence. The money would come from putting a price on carbon and funds would be invested in emission reduction and energy efficiency initiatives.
Individuals can also play their part by signing a Climate Change Contract and commiting to make some greenhouse gas busting changes to their daily lives.
Check the itinerary and come along to learn more about climate change and what we can do individually and as country.
