Fast-Track the CBD Rail Loop

The CBD rail loop is a public transport project that has the potential to transform the Auckland rail network, giving Aucklanders real transport choices.

It will revitalize the Auckland CBD and is an essential first step to getting rail links to other locations such as the airport and North Shore in future. It will also cut travel times from West Auckland to the CBD by 10-15 minutes per trip and allow us to run trains twice as frequently on all rail lines.

The Fast-Track the CBD Rail Loop campaign was launched to convince the Government to provide funding for this crucial project as soon as possible.

We collected signatures on a petition to promote the loop. This has closed now but there are other ways you can help progress this project - check out our list of ways to take action below.
