All welcome to join Green marine spokesperson Metiria Turei MP at this Forest and Bird event. New Zealand Sealions are protected under the Wildlife Act but many are caught and killed by the squid fishing industry. The government must take a stronger stance in protecting this species from the impacts of fishing.
Metiria, Rodney, David and Darren face off with a wine in one hand and their wit in the other. Who will win the crowd, who will get in the best joke and which of us is standing on box so we can see over the counter? All will be revealed, or at least embarrased, Wednesday night. So if you are in Wellington, come down to the Backbenchers Pub for a drink and a rowdy time. If not you can catch the show on TV7, Wednesday at 9.10pm.
The Wellington Province is proud to be represented locally by Green Party MPs Sue Kedgley and Russel Norman.
Kevin Hague as Green Party spokesperson for Cycling and Active Transport will be speaking at this breakfast event organised by Cycle Aware Wellington, come and join us on your bike:
