Students for Environmental Action are hosting Metiria Turei who will speak about fresh water issues. Additionally the film longfin will be screened. Metiria Turei is the Green Party Conservation Spokesperson and has been speaking at events all around the country about NZ's Freshwater fish and the threats that they are facing. She is particularly passionate about the plight of our eels (tuna).

Additionally some background about the Mokihinui campaign will be covered, and a short video clip of the wild and unspoilt river shown.

Gallagher, Shane

Shane has had a varied working life, from working in fast food restaurants to being a maitre'd in one of Scotland's top restaurants, as a stagehand to organising the first drama festival for Ireland's technical colleges, as an English teacher to working at the Scots National Dictionary, as a web developer to analysing the speech patterns in English and Scots Gaelic. Currently Shane works at Otago university and owns Ali McD Model Agency with his business partner Aliana McDaniel.
