Izzy LomaxYoung Greens Co-Convenor and Network Development Coordinator Age 20, originally from Westport but now calls Wellington home. Izzy has previously been the Greens on Campus Waikato co-convenor, Waikato Province Executive Networker, Executive Secretary and member of the Candidate Selection Committee. She is especially motivated about asset sales, oceans, language policy (especially Te Reo in schools), women's issues, Te Tiriti o Waitangi and taxation. Izzy currently works as an Executive Assistant in Parliament and spent the last couple of years studying towards a BA in Linguistics, putting her studies on hold this year. She lives in Owhiro Bay on Wellington's South Coast and can usually be found swimming and collecting sea glass at our beautiful beach and marine reserve, trying to teach herself to play guitar, drinking super strong coffee and baking. |

Bert HolmesYoung Greens General Exec Member and South Island Representative Bert hails from the deep south, he was raised and is still living in Dunedin aged 27. His interest in the Greens comes from a passion to garden and a desire to see the "bigger picture" used more within New Zealand politics. He is currently studying film, media and communication as well as politics at Otago University. Bert previously worked the last six years in regional television. As a young green he works with the Otago Campus Greens on student issues. I also work in the Dunedin branch of the greens. It is Bert’s hope to see more young people willing to stand up and offer to help. This new energy will allow the Greens to flourish into the next election and beyond. |

Wilbur TownsendYoung Greens General Exec Member and Policy Champ Wilbur is enjoying life: he is 20, is living in Wellington and is making cool change happen. He spends most of his time at Victoria University, studying maths, philosophy and economics, tutoring first-year statistics, and co-convening Greens@Vic. However, he regularly runs home to his gorgeous Aro valley flat, and finds that relaxation is well correlated with good coffee, Bats Theatre, Kanye West and an excessive use of the term ‘particularly pernicious’. This year, he’ll be helping the Young Greens develop good policy so that our country knows how to let young people flourish. |
