When:

Saturday, December 15, 2012 - 12:00pm - 1:30pm

Where:

BBQ at the children's playground, opposite Sandspit Holiday Park, Sandspit Road.

Eugenie Sage will be visiting the Matakana River near Warkworth on her summer Dirty Water Tour on Saturday 15th December, paddling from Matakana down to the estuary at Sandspit. The paddling trip will be followed by a shared BBQ lunch at Sandspit Reserve at noon. Eugenie will be highlighting the siltation of the estuary from the Matakana and Glen Eden Rivers, which makes it a poor choice of location for the proposed marina development.

All are welcome to join Eugenie for a BBQ lunch at the playground opposite the Sandspit Holiday Park on Sandspit Road. Please bring a plate to share or something to put on the BBQ.

The river trip will go ahead rain or shine. In case of wet weather, the BBQ will be replaced by a lunch gathering at Café Sandspit. If unsure of weather on the day, you can check the lunch location with Frances on 027 233 1449.

All welcome with an interest in protecting our freshwater. For more information please contact alina [dot] siegfried [at] parliament [dot] govt [dot] nz 04 801 5297.
