  • About Me

    July 30, 2023 6:31 PM
Kia ora. I’m standing for the seat of Rongotai, because it’s where I live with my partner and 2 kids, and it’s the community I know and love. Whether it’s swimming in Island Bay, grabbing the weekly veges from the Newtown Market, or bike riding around Miramar Peninsula — I live and breathe this vibrant and diverse area of Wellington that we get to call home. I’ve been a Green MP for 11 years. In that time, I’ve worked tirelessly...

We need your help to turn Rongotai Green.

Rongotai is where I live with my partner and 2 kids, and it’s the community I know and love. But it’s in desperate need of Green solutions to the problems we all face.

We need better public transport that is safe, efficient, and runs on time. We need to sort out our crumbling housing stock to make sure everyone has a warm dry home. And we need to make sure we’re prepared to face the challenges to come in the future: climate change is happening to us, right now.

The same kind of leadership has only gotten us so far. It’s time for a new vision, to meet the challenges of today. We need to grow the Green voice in Parliament, and turn Rongotai Green. The future of our neighbourhoods, and our country, depends on it.

It’s going to take a whole team on board to get the job done, and I need your help to run the biggest campaign we’ve run yet. Can I count on you to join our flaxroots, and make history?

  • The Time is Now. Our 2023 Manifesto

    July 09, 2023 1:00 PM
Our vision is a climate-friendly Aotearoa that honours Te Tiriti and meets the needs of everyone within the boundaries of the planet, so that we and the rest of nature can thrive. We are proud of the progress we have made. Over the last six years we have taken more action on climate change than the previous three decades of governments combined, secured the biggest-ever boost in funding to protect native plants and animals, and delivered New Zealand’s first-ever plan to eliminate...

  • Our Pledge to Renters

    July 02, 2023 10:50 AM
Everyone deserves an affordable, healthy place to call home – a place to rest, to share with loved ones, to build a life, or to watch our kids grow up. The Pledge to Renters is a simple and enforceable set of rules that will finally level the playing field for people who rent.  Rent Controls will limit the amount your landlord can increase your rent each year and every rental home will have to pass a Warrant of Fitness, giving...
