Advocating for communities and the environment in Parliament as one of your Green MPs is an absolute privilege. Thank you. Previously I worked with remote communities in rainforests, deserts and in the pacific islands on projects that had the environment and indigenous peoples at the centre. This has made me incredibly adaptable, helping me with new portfolio areas this Parliamentary term. Highlights include getting an apology for the Dawn Raids, getting a partial moratorium on Deep Sea Mining, supporting teachers and Pasifika RSE workers and being our flag bearer for peace in space. Advocating for the phasing out of PKE and synthetic fertilisers and getting serious about reducing the herd size have also kept me quite busy this term. I am ready to serve again in our Green caucus.
