Alan Somerville has served as the Dunedin Councillor on the Otago Regional Council since 2022. After spending the last 30 years working in Playcentres and as an early childhood teacher, Alan prioritises a future for our tamariki.

He believes that it is so important that we have clean air to breathe and clean water in our rivers and lakes. In the long run, that is the only way our people, businesses, and farms can thrive.

As a councillor, he will continue to work with rural and urban communities to make Otago a better place to live right now and for future generations.
