The Green Party has today congratulated the Hon Simon Bridges, who has been announced as the new Leader of the National Party.

The Green Party has today congratulated the Hon Simon Bridges, who has been announced as the new Leader of the National Party.

“On behalf of the Green Party, I’d like to congratulate Simon Bridges on his election as Leader of the National Party,” said Green Party Co-leader James Shaw.

“Mr Bridges has an opportunity to redefine his party for the future.

“I hope that he takes this opportunity to work constructively across the House on the most important challenges we face together as a country,” said Mr Shaw.
