All welcome (you don’t need to be a Green Party member).
With several major Bills currently open for submission, this is a chance to turn up, get informed, and make your voice count (whakaputa i tō reo).
Join Alika Wells, candidate for Henderson, and Dana O'Neill, policy expert, to learn about why submissions matter, how they fit into law-making, and how to write effective submissions.
What we’ll cover:
- Why submissions are important in the law-making process
- How to write effective submissions, with tips and examples
- Key issues in the Gender Definition Bill, Conservation Amendment Bill, and Move-on Orders Bill
- Q&A and time for submission writing support
Bring your pātai and draft ideas. No experience needed - just curiosity and a willingness to have a go. A space to learn, ask questions, and take action together (ako, pātai, me te mahi tahi).
Submissions for all three bills are due 11:59pm 2 July 2026.
This is an online session. RSVP for the Zoom link. For any pātai in advance, please contact Alika ([email protected]) or Rachel ([email protected]).
