Wellingtonians want frequent and reliable buses, but years of inaction have left us with a public transport system that isn’t working for anyone.
Meanwhile, transport makes up 58% of our city’s emissions, and our streets are unsafe and unwelcomingfor too many people.
Julie Anne has the experience and transport expertise to win positive improvements for Rongotai.
She’ll be a strong local advocate to fix the buses and accelerate Let’s Get Wellington Moving so that everyone has good transport choices.
Our plan:
- Accelerate Let’s Get Wellington Moving to deliver light rail and bus priority faster to Rongotai
- Bring Wellington’s bus services into public ownership, out of the hands of private equity firms
- Create safer streets for families and children to get around
- Ensure our streets and transport services are accessible for everyone in our communities
