Nathan Hoturoa Gray (he/him/ia)
My bi-cultural upbringing in Wellington and Kapiti through my English/Scottish father and Māori mother ties my whakapapa to Aotearoa now for 3 and 45 generations respectively. Our home was the embodiment of a positive treaty relationship, welcoming all ages, races, and political ideology celebrating kotahitanga (unity) of our community. I bring this lived experience to a national platform at a time when we must work together to tackle our mounting challenges, focusing on fairness, equity, and equality. Through environmental stewardship (kaitiakitanga), I fight for sustainable policies that protect the health of the earth while prioritizing support for our most vulnerable.
