Join us for an informative public lecture with Dr Tim Chambers, public health researcher and leading expert on the health impacts of nitrate contamination in drinking water.

Dr. Chambers will provide an overview of the emerging science linking nitrate in drinking water with the risk of preterm birth and colorectal cancer. He will discuss the policy responses in other countries and what this means for us in Aotearoa.

This is an opportunity to hear from a respected researcher about one of New Zealand's most pressing water quality challenges and what it means for communities across the country.

When: Wednesday19 August, 6:30pm

Where: Rutherford House Lecture Theatre (RHLT1), Victoria University of Wellington

The lecture will be followed by a Q&A discussion with Green MPs Lan Pham and Steve Abel, who will share insights from Green Party policy, that outlines regulatory measures to fix the rules so all of us can drink, swim, and fish in the places we love

Whether you're concerned about local waterways, interested in environmental science, or want to learn more about the future of freshwater management in Aotearoa, this is a conversation that is not to be missed.

Make sure you check out our policy that outlines how we can fix the rules for water.
