Born in Colombo, Sri Lanka and brought up in central Tāmaki Makaurau. My background professionally ranges from Ports Operations, Logistics, Startups, Digital Agencies, Council Digital Experience and now Mental Health and Drug and Alcohol Addiction Support Work. In terms of advocacy background I have been on the frontlines of campaigns such as Protect Pūtiki, Protect Mataharehare. Volunteered on Migrant Pathways to Residency campaign as well as Co-Founding a Lankan Youth Organisation Duality-NZ dedicated to enabling Sri Lankan youth thrive in Aotearoa by balancing their dual identity.

I came into the Green Party as a volunteer in the 2020 election and have been involved in roles of community organising on behalf of the Green Party as well as policy roles within the Wellbeing PASC.

When it comes to my principles and beliefs, it all comes down to the continuous process of understanding our whakapapa of not just our bloodlines as well as the whenua that has nurtured our upbringing. From this grounding it is a collective navigation for what we want to build for generations to come.
