Government Cabinet Ministers are pushing ahead with their anti-Māori agenda despite widespread opposition.
We want as many of our members and supporters to show solidarity with Toitū Te Tiriti's Hīkoi in opposition of the Treaty Principles Bill.

With this bill's progression beyond the select committee not being bound by the coalition agreement, this is a major opportunity to impact the outcome and guarantee stopping the bill at the first reading.

**We have just had a substantial update and change to tomorrow's plans. If possible we will still have our Green meeting, but now that the times have changed this may be more difficult then originally planned. Note the much earlier start time of 8:30 meaning please do try get there early.
8:30am Meet for briefing at Onepoto Domain about how to cross the Harbour Bridge safely.
9:30am  The Hīkoi will go in groups across the Harbour Bridge.
NOTES:
Bring a jacket, warmer/cooler layers.
A wheelchair user who has been over the bridge advises that the gradient is 1:12 and that the bridge does sway but should be manageable.
This is 5km continuously and exposed to the elements.
Please only begin this part of the hīkoi if you think this is manageable for you. You are not able to turn around and go back once on the bridge.
It may take a couple of hours to get across due to the large numbers. Note no toilets on the bridge!
If you need anything, look for kaiāwhina/helpers in green high-vis vests. They'll have water, sweets and first aid.
After the bridge, the Hīkoi stops/ends at Pt Erin Park, Curran St. There will be water stations there.
NEW convoy to activation point.
11.30am Activation Okahu Bay 📍
12pm Hīkoi via Hapimana st to Takaparawhau
12.30pm Activation Takaparawhau || Bastion pt 📍
1.30pm Convoy to Ihumātao
2-3pm Activation at Ihumātao. 1 Trilingual interpreter booked.
The Ihumātao activation takes place along the roadside and on an open field. The main gathering points are pedestrian only zones but it’s important to point out that these surfaces are uneven in places.
With regards to toilets, unfortunately we only have access to standard portaloos and these are what will be available on site to the public during the activation.
The immediate area around the activation is pedestrian only, if you are getting dropped off, or need to be dropped as close as possible to the activation site, the closest drop off point is at the Ihumātao road end, past the factories. No vehicles are allowed beyond the concrete blocks.
