Chris Norton (he/him) Remutaka
Bringing my experience in education and local advocacy, I’m committed to transformative change to improve the lived experience of people and planet both now and the future.
Having been involved in my local community, I’ve advocated on their behalf to local and central government. This includes submissions into the various Plan cycles about ecological and waste management, select committees on climate, treaties and transport, joining hikoi, and the Māori ward in Lower Hutt.
I have worked in many parts of the polytechnic sector here and overseas, and held member positions in my unions. It is an honour to represent a kaupapa as good as the Greens. Expressing these values to voters having an increasingly difficult time living allows me to show there is a better way to lead and develop our country if we are to leave a viable world for our kids’ kids to live in.
