The Copyright (Parody and Satire) Amendment Bill seeks to protect the use of parody and satire within New Zealand copyright law - making sure artists are able poke fun at politicians, or expose the irony in the pretensions of composers, artists and the like.

Join Green MP Kahurangi Carter and local comedy legend, Karen O'Leary in Pōneke, Wellington, for a short event focused on writing submissions in support of the bill.

  • When: Monday 11th May, 6pm - 7pm
  • Where: Community Room at Toi Pōneke Arts Centre, 61/69 Abel Smith Street

There will be some light finger food :)

The venue states it has wheelchair-accessible entrances, bathroom facilities and lifts. Mobility parking is available behind the building.

If you are unwell, please look out for others and stay home.
