How do I vote?

Voting is now open!

You can vote in person in Aotearoa at any voting place (it doesn't matter if it's not near your home address)

You don't need ID to vote

You don't need proof of address to vote

You don't need your EasyVote card to vote

Voting is open until 7pm on November 7

If you need help with voting, such as voting with help from a support person or the telephone dictation service you can find out more here.

There are voting services for people who can’t get to a voting place, for example because of poor health or mobility. You can find out more here.

If you are not sure about whether you are eligible to vote you can go to the voting place and ask to cast a vote. The Electoral Commission will determine whether votes are valid.
