Join your Wellington MPs, Tamatha Paul and Julie Anne Genter, and public services and tertiary spokesperson Francisco Hernandez on Tuesday 26 May, 6pm for sign-making and community kōrero about all of the major things happening in our community and what we can do to work together against it:

  • Thousands of jobs proposed to be cut from the public service
  • Reducing access to public housing and increasing public housing rents
  • Scrapping fees free for tertiary education
  • Pay equity
  • And the list goes on…

There’ll be a sausage sizzle and materials to make your own sign ahead of 6pm this Thursday, when a collective of unions, iwi, community organisations and advocates will deliver their Budget response to Parliament. Bring some cardboard or a hoarding to paint on!

No matter what you’re annoyed at the government for doing, let’s have a working bee so we can show up strong when the budget is announced on Thursday – many hands make light work!
