Rongotai MP Julie Anne Genter and Wellington Central MP Tamatha Paul are holding a public meeting for people to share their concerns and get answers to their questions about the Moa Point sewage crisis.
Monday’s meeting will now take place at the Performing Arts Centre at St Patrick’s College, 581 Evans Bay Parade Kilbirnie, with doors opening at 6.30pm and the meeting starting just after 7pm.
In addition to Julie Anne and Tamatha, the speakers will include Wellington Mayor Andrew Little, Destination KRL general manager Steve Walters and experts in wastewater and marine biology. Mana whenua will be in attendance and a representative from Wellington Water is expected to be there as well. The Green’s environment spokesperson MP Lan Pham will also be attending.
Julie Anne and Tamatha say they really want to see the widest possible range of Wellingtonians at the meeting and are asking people who have been following the crisis to talk to their whānau and friends about what has happened and to encourage them to get along
