Yasmine Serhan (she/her) Glendene
I’m a Palestinian New Zealander, proudly raised in Kirikiriroa, now living in Tāmaki Makaurau. As an early childhood teacher, union organiser, and social justice advocate I have built relationships that shaped my views. I bring with me the voices of workers who are fighting for affordable and dignified lives, honouring te Tiriti, just transitions, safe and inclusive workplaces. I have succeeded in bringing new communities into the union movement and supported workers to win a living wage. Workers must be engaged in fighting corporate greed and the concentration of wealth that destroys the lives of working people and the planet.
