THE VISION
Imagine if we built up our own local economy. Our own jobs, our own creativity, our own innovation, our own events.
A thriving local economy
What would it mean to fix this economy, so the rules support our money circulating around our own communities, investing in the spaces and infrastructure that ensure we’re all happier, healthier, safer and having more fun?
If we look at experiences around the world, as well as evidence internationally and here at home, it’s clear that a thriving local economy requires a fairer tax system, and tackling mega-corporate greed and market power consolidation.
Better is possible.
We can do this. Other countries have. But it’s not going to spontaneously just happen. Aucklanders and New Zealanders have to decide that we want change, and we have to make it happen.
It’s clear those profiting from the status quo are going to use all of their power, influence and resource to have us believe that change is impossible. That change starts by building our shared understanding of what needs to happen, and organising accordingly.
RSVP for our event on August the 5th through the button below, and tell us your thoughts through the form.
