Bhen Goodsir (he/him) Northcote

I am a Green candidate from Tāmaki Makaurau with a background spanning law, banking regulation, and community organising. Having trained as a lawyer, I have spent my career working in banking regulation, holding major banks to account and building a strong understanding of how financial systems affect whānau, communities, and New Zealand as a whole.

During my time as Chair of Auckland Pride, I helped build stronger relationships with local communities, grounded in Te Tiriti, and used its platform to advocate for queer communities, including through legal action to hold the Government to account on human rights.

I believe better politics starts with values-based decision making and a willingness to ask hard questions about who benefits, who bears the cost, and how power operates in practice. I am standing to help build durable support for change and an Aotearoa that works better for people and the planet.
