Courtney White (she/her) Hutt South
I am a long-term advocate for animal welfare and climate action across Aotearoa and Australia, with more than a decade working in communications and media. With a PhD in media focused on how we communicate difficult activist ideas through creativity, empathy, and “calling in” rather than calling out, I’m passionate about making systemic change feel both understandable and exciting.
A Green Party member for many years, a staffer for just over one, and the Co-convenor of the Green Animal Network, I’m now stepping forward to stand behind the values and words I’ve helped shape. I believe deeply in the interconnectedness of human, non-human, and environmental wellbeing, and in the need to challenge capitalism and economic systems that undermine that relationship.
Based in Eastbourne with my partner, daughter and two dogs, I’m committed to building a future where doing things differently feels hopeful, collective, and most of all - possible.
