Dave has a career background in education and education leadership and holds a number of not-for-profit governance roles.
Dave was a teacher for 35 years and is still involved with education leadership at a national level. He holds many governance and leadership roles related to social housing, farmers’ markets, the environment and the arts.
Dave enjoys a range of outdoor activities including tramping, kayaking, cycling and gardening. He recently completed the Tour Aotearoa and has completed a number of cycle trails with his wife on a tandem.
After recently becoming a grandfather, Dave has become even more determined that future generations will live in an equitable, caring society within a healthy environment and a stable climate.
