Fighting for equity and justice; for Tāngata and Papatūānuku.

Jordan Walker (they/them) East Cape

I grew up in Tūranganui-a-kiwa (Gisborne), and have Ngāi Tūhoe, Ngāti Kahungunu ki Wairoa, Ngāti Porou and Ngāi Te Rangi whakapapa. I'm incredibly proud to be from Te Tairāwhiti, because I can reference the communities that make our region thrive. In the face of hardship and destruction, people wrap around one another here, but they’re largely doing that voluntarily and heavily under-resourced. Imagine what we could do if we had a government that backed the people?

No one can deny how hard life has become these last 3 years, worsened by the deliberately destructive decisions of this coalition government, choosing profit over people, worsening the state of our climate, and refusing to adequately resource regions who are the most impacted by climate driven disasters.

Party Vote Green for our region, our environment and a sustainable life here for you and our communities. We have enough in Aotearoa for all of us to live a good life, and we can get closer to that by voting for the Green Party.
