Focused on Te Taiao and equitable access.

Mark Longworth (he/him/ia) Tukituki

I’m based in Central Hawke’s Bay with a Bachelor of Natural Medicine and background in small-scale land stewardship, with a strong personal interest in environmental issues, rural communities, and practical long term planning.

Much of my recent experience has involved engaging with local government and statutory processes, which has given me a better understanding of how policy decisions affect everyday people at a local level.

The areas I’m most interested in are Te Taiao, water management, sustainable land use, mental health access, transparent governance, and strengthening regional communities.

I’m particularly interested in practical solutions with long term environmental responsibility in a way that is fair and equitable for everyone including Papatūānuku.

I’d bring a thoughtful and analytical approach, strong research skills, persistence, and a willingness to engage constructively with complex issues. I’m also comfortable working through detailed information and communicating clearly with a wide range of people and perspectives.
