Mike Davidson (he/him) Ilam

I have been privileged to be a Green MP since October 2025. Prior to this I served as Kaiwhakahaere at Whitiora Centre, delivering positive outcomes for my hapū, Ngāi Tūāhuriri. 

I was a Christchurch City Councillor for two terms where I worked to create liveable communities and a healthy natural environment. I led the city’s cycleways programme and oversaw the development of Ōtautahi’s coastal adaptation framework.

I have lived in Waitaha Canterbury my whole life, mostly in Ōtautahi. Outside of work, I enjoy riding my bike, going for a run or getting out into nature.
